German Biogas Association welcomes CSU criticism of Altmaier (Germany)

"There must be no interference with existing plants. In implementing the transition to a new era of energy, the protection of legitimate expectations must continue to have priority. Commitments to provide funding must not be altered in retrospect!" With these clear words CSU General Secretary Alexander Dobrindt recently criticised the plans of Federal Minister for the Environment Peter Altmaier, who intends to cut funding for existing biogas plants by 1.5 per cent. The CSU in Bavaria is thereby siding with the German Biogas Association which likewise strongly warns against retrospective interference with the funding for the production of electricity from biogas plants.
