Tamar and Peel partner to develop five AD plants

Renewable energy firm Tamar Energy has signed a deal with waste infrastructure developer Peel Environmental to develop five anaerobic digestion (AD) plants across the north of England. Under the deal, Peel, which is part of the Peel Group, will provide up to five suitable sites for Tamar to build and operate the AD facilities. Tamar has already begun work on three AD plants at locations in Hampshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire (see letsrecycle.com story), which it hopes will be the first of a network of 40 facilities by 2018.
